Cycling To glory.. A summer afternoon at bay

Weekends can never be how you want them to be.. After 5 days of continuous turmoil of mind and Body , finally you get 2 days to yourself..wait .. its not even to me , its to us. My dear husband,The whole point my existence it seems.

So what you do to have a relaxed weekend .. i would recommend just keep Your Keep (provided in yr Nexus mobiles) silent for a day .. and just chill. But Here comes the self pitying  habit that has ruined us . we cant just settle for a single day without doing anything ..at least i get restless if i don’t do at least one of the things .. one being Travelling ..

so me and Td decided after a whole morning of lazy idling  and after a good breakfast of egg rolls and tea, to go for a short cycling expedition around the bay trail near the Google office.

We drove till Google mountain view office.. parked our car in the parking lot made our way for the GBikes(Perks of being a googler’s wife  🙂 ) .Now i was looking at a cycle ..after like 10 years !! last time i rode one was perhaps when i was in class 10th . So i was little nervous of actually riding one after so long. but as someone rightly said .. U can never really forget riding a cycle as You can never really  forget yr First love .. haha. so there  i go .. riding through the trail .. weather being awesome.. slowly my nervousness made way for a fresh  breath of air!!

The trail was around 5 miles (both ways) and both side being surrounded by greenery and the bay . The home to ducks , cranes , squirrels and Rabbits surrounding the NASA Moffett Airfield.

The lonely trail , The Bikes , the air , and ofcourse Td all combined   and formed a new train of thoughts in my mind.. i could faintly remember my childhood days .. when i first learnt cycling .. i had learnt it of my own , falling and hurting yourself was something we never were afraid of then .. how strange i feel  now when i am trying to learn swimming .. when half of the time am not even entering the water for the fear of drowning.. i realized .. how afraid we become of things as we grow older !!.. The  Famous five books .. which i used to read on a lazy summer afternoon in India , when the thought of wasting time never occurred to me as it often happens now a days , when i would  take a mere 1 hr off  from all work!!

Me  and Td were like two kids reliving our childhood days .. Getting excited by looking at the ducks or the rabbits.. laughing and giggling and talking all through it.. Life can be really meaningless  without  the tinge of laziness in it.. The laid back way of approaching the life sometimes is the best way to enjoy each moment of it..as you can feel the heart beat of each seconds of your life.. what an way to live!! if only we all could do it every time.. slow the time and live for once..

Finally our short bay area trail trip came to an end with it my my short nostalgic trip to my childhood days 🙂  and we headed up for our home sweet home, after a sumptuous lunch at  Spice hut.

So …You see Weekends can never be how we want them to be.. It can be better !! 🙂
