Fly higher ? or not

I totally love being myself on weekends . and what a way to spend an evening in the lap of nature. There is one such relaxing stuff which we both love to do on weekends. A simple run across the wetlands!! . how refreshing is that!! .we started at around 6.45 pm for the bayland park in sunnyvale. its a very popular park for airplane flying , running , playing . There is a small playground for children too. i have been to this place for  quite some time , but it never stops amazing me. the first time i came here , i couldn’t believe such a place can exist inside a bustling city , which is a rare thing in india . Though india is filled with such beautiful places , but  they are mostly in country sides.

Now a days the sun has its shine till night 8.30-9 pm and we reached there at 7pm . The surrounding  is so relaxing with the beautiful breeze flowing and the musty  smell of the wetland . Some kids were playing  in the playground . some were trying to fly an RC  airplane(remote control airplane )  , this was one of my firsts .i had never seen RC plane flying  , even though  kite flying is a common stuff in india. it amazed me how different countries , have their  own set of amusements and when we  come to a new land how those seem exotic to us.

A plane was soaring high above the sky and it continued  flying higher and higher and the boy was trying hard to keep it in range. it became wilder and i was excited !! how i wished it to go out of  control and fly higher , i wanted to see its highest range , but suddenly it started to fall and lower it went , with it my hope of seeing it higher in the sky  crash landed. but the strange thing was before it landed , it was hovering very calmly in the wind , playing with it , teasing with it .the lower it went , its flight became smoother and  very sleekly it finally landed on the lap of the boy…

Sometimes in life we can just go higher till the point where no more we can be steadier , we have two choices at that time either to aim higher and keep on moving , but that may lead to our crash land (may be in  some lucky days we can see some more heights  as well!!) , or  Secondly  we can stop there and sail smoothly to our roots.

Does’nt it feels ,we all are  like these kites , these planes .. we dont know when the air around us can become wilder and we must stop . does aiming higher is always an option ? can’t  i just sail smoothly in my happy space and live through it , take a break and finally come back to my roots instead of going higher and may be try for the heights some other lucky day!!   May be the plane is smarter than us , it knew when it must stop , when it must let go of its desire and just be at peace for that single day  🙂

My  reverie was broken by td who was playfully teasing me to catch him as he was trying to run away from me ( like we played  back in india when we were little kids) .. and just like that i started my kite like flight  with ups and downs and panting  breath and gleeful laughs  to catch my ultimate happiness .

P.S   I decided to be the hovering  kite  for that  moment  🙂
